Reuben Paterson and Lonnie Hutchinson have teamed together to present ‘Relative Reciprocity’, an exhibition celebrating Matariki at Te Uru Waitakere Contemporary Gallery. Reuben and Lonnie are well-known for having firmly embedded Māori and Polynesian world-views and visual languages into their artistic practices. ‘Relative Reciprocity’ explores the recurring aesthetic, political and spiritual use of light and darkness that runs through their respective works.

The artists will be hosting a talk at Te Uru Waitakere Contemporary Gallery on Saturday 24 June at 3pm preceding the official opening celebrations from 4pm.
